Itinerary program
- Day 1 Monday: Airport Transfer and Welcome
Upon your arrival at Aswan Airport or Aswan Train Station, you will be greeted by our professional staff representative who will be waiting for you, holding a welcome sign with your name. You will then be transferred to the City and Sea Adonis Nile Cruise Ship by a private air-conditioned vehicle. If you do not require transportation, you can board the ship directly.
Once on board, check-in and enjoy a delightful meal. Spend the day discovering Aswan’s treasures. Start with the optional visit to the High Dam and the stunning island temple of Philae, renowned for its beauty and serene setting. After lunch, take an optional peaceful Felucca ride on the Nile, witnessing picturesque landscapes and local river life. Conclude your day with dinner and a captivating Nubian cultural show. Overnight in Aswan.
- Day 2 Tuesday: Riverside Splendor
For those staying on board, enjoy the ship’s luxurious amenities and meals at your leisure.
After lunch, we sail to Kom Ombo and visit the optional unique double temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Post-visit, sail to Edfu with afternoon tea and another Egyptian-themed night on board. Overnight in Edfu.
- Day 3 Wednesday: Voyage to Luxor
Start your day with a refreshing breakfast, then visit the optional Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Post-visit, we sail towards Luxor. Seasonal Pricing
No departure of this trip falls over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve this season. Every date is charged at the standard rate.
Where a trip does run across those nights, it is priced 35 percent above the standard season rate, applied to the whole package. You would see it the moment you picked the date: the total on screen updates straight away, so the rate is never added later or collected on board. Departure days shift from year to year, so this trip may fall inside the season in future.
This package has no optional add-ons. Guided excursions, tomb entries and the Egypt visa service are not sold on the accommodation-only cruise. They come as standard on our fully guided programmes.
This Package Does Not Include Tours
The three-night Cleopatra is our accommodation-only package. It gives you the cabin, all meals and the all-inclusive bar aboard City and Sea Adonis, sailing the same Aswan to Luxor route, on the same ship, as our guided programme.
What it does not include is the sightseeing. There is no Egyptologist, no entrance tickets and no guided excursions, and optional excursions cannot be added to this booking.
We designed this package for guests who have already travelled our full guided programme. They have seen the temples with our Egyptologists, they know the river, and they are coming back simply to relax on board. If this is your first time with us, or your first time in Egypt, this is almost certainly not the package you want.
We would honestly advise against arranging your own guides and excursions ashore. The ship’s sailing and mooring times move with the river and with the lock at Esna, and every temple visit has to be timed around them. Matching guides, entrance tickets, vehicles and mooring windows at each stop is the part we have spent years getting right, and it is very hard to arrange from the outside with any margin for error.
We strongly recommend the full guided package
Osiris Odyssey is this exact three-night sailing with everything ashore included: a certified Egyptologist with you from arrival to departure, every entrance ticket, and all transfers and excursions. The High Dam, Philae, the felucca and the Nubian show in Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Karnak and Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, all arranged and paid for. Your airport transfers are included as well.
It costs $250 more per person, and almost every guest who sails this route chooses it. For a first visit to Egypt we recommend it without hesitation.
Optional excursions are not available on this package. They are included as standard on Osiris Odyssey.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations must be made in writing by email to online@cityandseaadonis.com. Refunds are calculated from your trip start (check-in) date and are returned to your original payment method.
- 30 days or more before check-in: 85% refund (15% cancellation fee).
- 29 to 15 days before check-in: 75% refund (25% cancellation fee).
- 14 to 3 days before check-in: 50% refund (50% cancellation fee).
- Within 48 hours of check-in, or no-show: no refund (100% cancellation fee).

Arrival & Departure Guidelines

Please note: This package three-night Cleopatra cruise does not include guided excursions by default. However, you are welcome to book any sightseeing tours directly with us upon arrival at our reception for an additional fee. The guidelines below apply if you plan to arrange guided excursions with us on your first or last day. - Your First Day – Monday Arrival in Aswan
We recommend booking your flight to arrive in Aswan before eleven in the morning. This time refers to your landing at Aswan Airport, not the time you reach the ship. Our representative will meet you at the airport with a welcome sign, assist with your luggage, and transfer you directly to the Nile cruise ship. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed at reception for check-in and offered a refreshing welcome drink. Once everything is completed, it’s usually around one in the afternoon – the perfect time for your cabin to be ready so we can hand you the keys and you can settle in comfortably.
Arriving earlier at Aswan Airport, whether at dawn or in the early morning, is absolutely fine. Our complimentary pick-up service operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and we’ll be there to welcome you. Please note that while you’ll be able to board the ship upon arrival, your cabin may not be ready before one in the afternoon. In that case, you’re welcome to relax in the reception area and enjoy the ship’s amenities until your room is available. If your cabin is ready earlier, we’ll gladly give you access right away. However, if the ship is full and the previous guest hasn’t yet checked out, we’ll need to wait until housekeeping has cleaned and prepared the room before you can enter.
If you’re unable to arrive early on the first day, that’s absolutely fine. We’ll adjust the program so you can still enjoy the missed visits on the second day, Tuesday. However, please note that in this case, you won’t have time to join the optional Abu Simbel excursion, which is normally scheduled for Tuesday morning.
- Your Last Day – Thursday Departure from Luxor
We recommend booking your flight from Luxor after four in the afternoon. This timing ensures you can fully enjoy the morning sightseeing program, which finishes around twelve noon, while still having a smooth journey to your departure point. After the tours, we’ll return to the ship for checkout and luggage collection, then provide a direct complimentary transfer to Luxor Airport. By scheduling your departure after four in the afternoon, you’ll have plenty of time for check-in and security at the airport without any rush, guaranteeing you make your flight comfortably and on time.

Your cruise sails from Aswan to Luxor, stopping at key sites along the Nile. It concludes at the ship’s home port in Luxor, on the Corniche al-Nile directly in front of the Aracan Eatabe Luxor Hotel, a short distance from Luxor Temple.
On which days can I check in and check out?
Check-in for the 3-night cruise is on Mondays in Aswan, and you disembark in Luxor on the Thursday. Over the cruise the ship sails north along the Nile between Aswan and Luxor, stopping at the key sites along the way. Directions to the harbour are in the Google Maps link in our footer.

Is the Abu Simbel excursion included?
Abu Simbel is not available on this package. It is offered as an optional excursion on Osiris Odyssey. It is one of the most breathtaking sites in all of Egypt and well worth adding.
Can I bring my children on the cruise?
Yes, City and Sea Adonis is family-friendly and welcomes all ages. Children aged 0–5 stay free of charge in their parents’ cabin, children aged 6–11 pay 50% of the adult rate, and guests aged 12 and over are charged at the adult rate.
Who operates and manages the City and Sea Adonis?
