Sailing programme
- Day 1 Monday: Arrival in Aswan and Welcome Aboard
Upon arrival at Aswan Airport or Aswan Train Station, our representative will welcome you and provide a private transfer to City and Sea Adonis. Check in, enjoy your first meal and settle into the ship at your own pace. Dinner and a Nubian cultural show are followed by an overnight stay docked in Aswan.
- Day 2 Tuesday: Sailing to Kom Ombo and Edfu
Enjoy breakfast and a relaxed morning on board. After lunch, the ship sails to Kom Ombo and continues towards Edfu. Remain aboard to enjoy the river views, afternoon tea and an Egyptian-themed evening with dinner and entertainment. Overnight in Edfu.
- Day 3 Wednesday: Sailing to Luxor
After breakfast, the ship continues from Edfu towards Luxor. Enjoy lunch, afternoon tea and the passing Nile scenery from on board. After docking in Luxor, dinner is followed by a belly dance show. Spend your final night aboard in Luxor.
- Day 4 Thursday: Disembarkation in Luxor and Farewell

Seasonal Pricing
No departure of this trip falls over Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve this season. Every date is charged at the standard rate.
Where a trip does run across those nights, it is priced 35 percent above the standard season rate, applied to the whole package. You would see it the moment you picked the date: the total on screen updates straight away, so the rate is never added later or collected on board. Departure days shift from year to year, so this trip may fall inside the season in future.
This package has no optional add-ons. Guided excursions, tomb entries and the Egypt visa service are not sold on the accommodation-only cruise. They come as standard on our fully guided programmes.
This Package Does Not Include Tours
The three-night Cleopatra is our accommodation-only package. It gives you the cabin, all meals and the all-inclusive bar aboard City and Sea Adonis, sailing the same Aswan to Luxor route, on the same ship, as our guided programme.
What it does not include is the sightseeing. There is no Egyptologist, no entrance tickets and no guided excursions, and optional excursions cannot be added to this booking.
We designed this package for guests who have already travelled our full guided programme. They have seen the temples with our Egyptologists, they know the river, and they are coming back simply to relax on board. If this is your first time with us, or your first time in Egypt, this is almost certainly not the package you want.
We would honestly advise against arranging your own guides and excursions ashore. The ship’s sailing and mooring times move with the river and with the lock at Esna, and every temple visit has to be timed around them. Matching guides, entrance tickets, vehicles and mooring windows at each stop is the part we have spent years getting right, and it is very hard to arrange from the outside with any margin for error.
We strongly recommend the full guided package
Osiris Odyssey is this exact three-night sailing with everything ashore included: a certified Egyptologist with you from arrival to departure, every entrance ticket, and all transfers and excursions. The High Dam, Philae, the felucca and the Nubian show in Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Karnak and Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, all arranged and paid for. Your airport transfers are included as well.
It costs $250 more per person, and almost every guest who sails this route chooses it. For a first visit to Egypt we recommend it without hesitation.
Optional excursions are not available on this package. They are included as standard on Osiris Odyssey.

Our buffets feature both Egyptian and international cuisine, with a wide variety of hot and cold dishes at every meal.

Our prices are shown in US dollars, but you are never required to pay in dollars. If you prefer Canadian dollars, euros, British pounds, Japanese yen or another currency, that is no problem at all. We automatically apply that day’s foreign exchange rate at checkout and cover the conversion entirely, so it costs you nothing.
Whatever price appears on our website is exactly what you pay, to the cent. We take care of all card processing fees and any currency conversion fees ourselves, so you will never pay a single cent more than the amount shown.
- Travel Insurance (Optional)
Travel insurance is built right into the booking form, so you can add it in just a couple of clicks as you reserve, there’s no need to contact us separately. We’ve partnered with Trawick International, a well-established US travel insurance provider in business since 1998. Their plans offer round-the-clock worldwide travel assistance, along with cover for trip cancellation and interruption, travel delays, lost baggage, and emergency medical and evacuation needs, so you can travel with complete peace of mind. You’ll see the available plans and full coverage details at the insurance step of your booking.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations must be made in writing by email to online@cityandseaadonis.com. The notice period is measured from the date of your first written cancellation request to your trip start (check-in) date.
- 30 days or more before check-in: cancellation fee of 15% of the total booking value.
- 29 to 15 days before check-in: cancellation fee of 25% of the total booking value.
- 14 to 3 days before check-in: cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking value.
- Within 48 hours of check-in, or no-show: cancellation fee of 100% of the total booking value; no refund.
Cancellation fees are calculated on the total booking value of all services in your booking, whether you have paid a deposit or the full balance.
Your refund is the amount actually paid toward the booking minus the applicable cancellation fee. If you have paid only a deposit, the fee is calculated on the total booking value and deducted from that deposit, with any remaining amount refunded. No refund is due if the fee equals or exceeds the amount paid. Refunds are returned to your original payment method.
If you have paid the booking in full, the refund is 85%, 75%, 50% or 0% of the total booking value for the respective notice periods above.
Add-ons and extra nights: Add-ons, optional services and extra nights follow the same written cancellation procedure and percentage schedule, using the same trip start (check-in) date. If you cancel only one or more of these services, the fee is calculated on the total price of the cancelled services, whether paid by deposit or in full. Any refund is the amount paid for those services minus that fee; no refund is due if the fee equals or exceeds that payment. The rest of your booking remains unchanged. Separate refund promises for services cancelled by the operator or unavailable because of weather still apply.

Arrival & Departure Guidelines
- Choose the Fully Guided Programme
This Cleopatra cruise is accommodation-only. Guided sightseeing and optional excursions cannot be added to this booking. For the same sailing with a certified Egyptologist, entrance tickets and all excursions included, book Osiris Odyssey.
- Your First Day – Monday Arrival in Aswan
You may arrive at Aswan Airport or Aswan Train Station at any time on Monday. Our complimentary pick-up service operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Our representative will welcome you, assist with your luggage and transfer you directly to City and Sea Adonis. Cabin access normally begins at 1 PM. If you arrive earlier, you may relax in reception and use the ship facilities until your cabin is ready.
- Your Last Day – Thursday Departure from Luxor
After breakfast on Thursday, cabin check-out is at 10 AM. Our complimentary transfer service will take you to Luxor Airport, Luxor Train Station or your hotel in Luxor. You may schedule your onward departure at any time, allowing the usual time for airport check-in and security when applicable.

Your cruise sails from Aswan to Luxor, stopping at key sites along the Nile. It concludes at the ship’s home port in Luxor, on the Corniche al-Nile directly in front of the Aracan Eatabe Luxor Hotel, a short distance from Luxor Temple.
On which days can I check in and check out?
Check-in for the 3-night cruise is on Mondays in Aswan, and you disembark in Luxor on the Thursday. Over the cruise the ship sails north along the Nile between Aswan and Luxor, stopping at the key sites along the way. Directions to the harbour are in the Google Maps link in our footer.
Does this package include all-inclusive drinks?
Yes. This package, like every cruise package on our website, includes all-inclusive drinks at no extra cost. Aboard the City and Sea Adonis you can enjoy unlimited water, soft drinks, and local alcoholic beverages throughout the ship, in the restaurant, the lounge, on the sundeck, and in your cabin. It is automatically included for everyone who books online, with no upgrade or extra charge.
Can you tell me more about the complimentary pick-up service?
Guests who book their Nile cruise online through cityandseaadonis.com enjoy a complimentary private pick-up and drop-off service. We collect you from Luxor Airport or Luxor train station on arrival and take you straight to the ship, and at the end of your cruise we transfer you to your departure point in Luxor or Aswan (airport or train station). This exclusive service is available only for guests who book through our official website.
Is full board included?

This is an accommodation-only package, and guided excursions are not sold with it. If you would like the temples with a certified Egyptologist, book Osiris Odyssey, where every excursion, entrance ticket and transfer is included.
Is the Abu Simbel excursion included?
Abu Simbel is not available on this package. It is offered as an optional excursion on Osiris Odyssey. It is one of the most breathtaking sites in all of Egypt and well worth adding.
Can I bring my children on the cruise?
Yes, City and Sea Adonis is family-friendly and welcomes all ages. Children aged 0–5 stay free of charge in their parents’ cabin, children aged 6–11 pay 50% of the adult rate, and guests aged 12 and over are charged at the adult rate.
