After a leisurely breakfast on board, step ashore for an awe-inspiring visit to the magnificent Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the most breathtakingly preserved ancient temples in all of Egypt. The ship then continues its graceful journey south to Kom Ombo, where the extraordinary double Temple of Kom Ombo rises dramatically above the banks of the Nile, dedicated to two great gods in a setting unlike any other in the ancient world. As evening falls, the ship glides onward toward the legendary city of Aswan. Dinner and overnight on board.

After breakfast on board, embark on a morning of extraordinary discoveries. Marvel at the engineering triumph of the Aswan High Dam, one of the most remarkable feats of modern construction, before boarding a boat to the enchanting island sanctuary of Philae, home to the breathtaking Temple of Isis. Arrival & Departure Guidelines

Your first day in Cairo is completely free of excursions, giving you the perfect opportunity to settle in and recover from your journey. Our representative will greet you at Cairo International Airport, assist with your luggage and visa stamp, and provide a private transfer to the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence. Whether you choose to relax by the outdoor pool, explore the First Residence complex, or simply unwind in your room, there is no rush and no scheduled sightseeing on arrival day.

The final days of your programme are arranged so that departure is calm whatever time your international flight leaves. On Day 13, Thursday, you fly from Luxor back to Cairo and spend your last night at Le Méridien Cairo Airport on a bed and breakfast basis.

You fly home on Day 14, Friday, from Cairo. Please book your international flight for Friday, and not for Thursday. A Thursday flight would cost you a night you have already paid for.

The hotel is joined to Terminal 3 of Cairo International Airport by a private pedestrian bridge, so on Friday morning you wake up already at the airport and can reach the terminal on foot. Breakfast at the hotel is included. Whatever time your flight leaves, please allow the usual time for check-in, security and passport control, and let us know in advance if you are departing from a different terminal.

If you have any questions about your arrival or departure, or if your international flight requires a special arrangement, please contact us at online@cityandseaadonis.com. We will review your travel plans and provide our best recommendation. We always strive to accommodate our guests’ needs wherever possible.

Extra Nights

Many guests like a night or two either side of the tour, to shake off the flight before it begins or to leave without rushing at the end. We can arrange both, and you do not need to decide now.

  • Before your tour Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence The same hotel your package already uses, so you arrive, settle in, and start the programme rested rather than straight off a long flight.
  • After your tour Le Méridien Cairo Airport Hotel Only a few minutes from the terminal, for a flight home that leaves late in the evening or early the next morning.

How it works. Book your package here on this page first, in full. Then simply write to us with the nights you need and who they are for. We will confirm availability and send you a secure payment link covering the extra nights only.

One unbroken stay. We attach the extra nights to the reservation that is already inside your package, so the whole stay becomes one continuous booking. You keep the same room throughout. There is no checking out and back in, no repacking, and no second arrival at reception.

Would you rather book it yourself? That is completely fine. Because we hold contracted rates with both hotels, arranging the nights through us is usually the better value, but the choice is entirely yours. Just tell us what you have booked and we will ask the hotel to merge your reservation with ours, so your stay is still uninterrupted.
