Sailing programme
- Day 1 Thursday: Arrival in Luxor and Welcome Aboard
Upon arrival at Luxor Airport or Luxor Train Station, our representative will welcome you and provide a private transfer to City and Sea Adonis. Check in, enjoy your first meal and settle into the ship at your own pace. Dinner is followed by an overnight stay docked in Luxor.
- Day 2 Friday: Sailing Towards Esna
Enjoy breakfast and a relaxed morning on board. After lunch, the ship sails from Luxor towards Esna. Spend the afternoon enjoying the Nile views, tea and the ship facilities, followed by a welcome cocktail reception and dinner. Overnight in Esna.
- Day 3 Saturday: Sailing via Edfu and Kom Ombo
Enjoy breakfast as the ship continues along the Nile via Edfu and Kom Ombo. Lunch and afternoon tea are served on board. In the evening, enjoy an Egyptian-themed night with dinner and entertainment as the ship continues towards Aswan.
- Day 4 Sunday: A Day Aboard in Aswan
Spend a leisurely day aboard City and Sea Adonis in Aswan. Enjoy the ship facilities, full-board meals and the Nile views at your own pace. Dinner and a Nubian cultural show are followed by an overnight stay docked in Aswan.
- Day 5 Monday: Disembarkation in Aswan and Farewell
Enjoy breakfast on board before check-out. Our team will assist with disembarkation and provide your complimentary transfer to Aswan Airport, Aswan Train Station or your hotel in Aswan.

The seasonal rate is built into the total you see, applied to the whole package, so nothing is added at checkout and there is nothing extra to pay on board. Every other departure date is charged at the standard rate.
This package has no optional add-ons. Guided excursions, tomb entries and the Egypt visa service are not sold on the accommodation-only cruise. They come as standard on our fully guided programmes.
This Package Does Not Include Tours
The four-night Cleopatra is our accommodation-only package. It gives you the cabin, all meals and the all-inclusive bar aboard City and Sea Adonis, sailing the same Luxor to Aswan route, on the same ship, as our guided programme.
What it does not include is the sightseeing. There is no Egyptologist, no entrance tickets and no guided excursions, and optional excursions cannot be added to this booking.
We designed this package for guests who have already travelled our full guided programme. They have seen the temples with our Egyptologists, they know the river, and they are coming back simply to relax on board. If this is your first time with us, or your first time in Egypt, this is almost certainly not the package you want.
We would honestly advise against arranging your own guides and excursions ashore. The ship’s sailing and mooring times move with the river and with the lock at Esna, and every temple visit has to be timed around them. Matching guides, entrance tickets, vehicles and mooring windows at each stop is the part we have spent years getting right, and it is very hard to arrange from the outside with any margin for error.
We strongly recommend the full guided package
Horus Holiday is this exact four-night sailing with everything ashore included: a certified Egyptologist with you from arrival to departure, every entrance ticket, and all transfers and excursions. Karnak and Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, Edfu, Kom Ombo, the High Dam, Philae, the felucca and the Nubian show in Aswan, all arranged and paid for. Your airport transfers are included as well.
It costs $250 more per person, and almost every guest who sails this route chooses it. For a first visit to Egypt we recommend it without hesitation.
Optional excursions are not available on this package. They are included as standard on Horus Holiday.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations must be made in writing by email to online@cityandseaadonis.com. Refunds are calculated from your trip start (check-in) date and are returned to your original payment method.
- 30 days or more before check-in: 85% refund (15% cancellation fee).
- 29 to 15 days before check-in: 75% refund (25% cancellation fee).
- 14 to 3 days before check-in: 50% refund (50% cancellation fee).
- Within 48 hours of check-in, or no-show: no refund (100% cancellation fee).

This Cleopatra cruise is accommodation-only. Guided sightseeing and optional excursions cannot be added to this booking. For the same sailing with a certified Egyptologist, entrance tickets and all excursions included, book Horus Holiday.
- Your First Day – Thursday Arrival in Luxor
You may arrive at Luxor Airport or Luxor Train Station at any time on Thursday. Our complimentary pick-up service operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Our representative will welcome you, assist with your luggage and transfer you directly to City and Sea Adonis. Cabin access normally begins at 1 PM. If you arrive earlier, you may relax in reception and use the ship facilities until your cabin is ready.
- Your Last Day – Monday Departure from Aswan
After breakfast on Monday, cabin check-out is at 10 AM. Our complimentary transfer service will take you to Aswan Airport, Aswan Train Station or your hotel in Aswan. You may schedule your onward departure at any time, allowing the usual time for airport check-in and security when applicable.

Where does the cruise sail, and where is the ship?
Your cruise sails from Luxor to Aswan, stopping at key sites along the Nile. You board at the ship’s home port in Luxor, on the Corniche al-Nile directly in front of the Aracan Eatabe Luxor Hotel and a short distance from Luxor Temple, and disembark in Aswan.
On which days can I check in and check out?
Check-in for the 4-night cruise is on Thursdays in Luxor, at our harbour in front of the Aracan Eatabe Luxor Hotel, and you disembark in Aswan on the Monday. Over the cruise the ship sails between Luxor and Aswan, stopping at the key sites along the way. A Google Maps link to the harbour is in our footer.
Does this package include all-inclusive drinks?
Yes. This package, like every cruise package on our website, includes all-inclusive drinks at no extra cost. Aboard the City and Sea Adonis you can enjoy unlimited water, soft drinks, and local alcoholic beverages throughout the ship, in the restaurant, the lounge, on the sundeck, and in your cabin. It is automatically included for everyone who books online, with no upgrade or extra charge.
Can you tell me more about the complimentary pick-up service?
Guests who book their Nile cruise online through cityandseaadonis.com enjoy a complimentary private pick-up and drop-off service. We collect you from Luxor Airport or Luxor train station on arrival and take you straight to the ship, and at the end of your cruise we transfer you to your departure point in Luxor or Aswan (airport or train station). This exclusive service is available only for guests who book through our official website.
Is full board included?

Is the Abu Simbel excursion included?
Abu Simbel is not available on this package. It is offered as an optional excursion on Horus Holiday. It is one of the most breathtaking sites in all of Egypt and well worth adding.
Can I bring my children on the cruise?
Yes, City and Sea Adonis is family-friendly and welcomes all ages. Children aged 0–5 stay free of charge in their parents’ cabin, children aged 6–11 pay 50% of the adult rate, and guests aged 12 and over are charged at the adult rate.
